At Kahle Research Solutions we help our clients by applying customized and sophisticated qualitative and quantitative methods strategies to meet their information needs. These methods include:
Focus Groups and In-Depth Interviews: In-person, online, via telephone with computer assistance Click to Learn More
Focus groups, once the gold standard in qualitative research, have evolved with advancements in technology. Bob Kahle has moderated literally thousands of focus groups using in-person, telephone and online approaches. Adding computer assistance to telephone focus groups allows participants to respond to images, videos and audio, providing effective individual and group responses. We also can simultaneously combine remote qualitative data collection with individual quantitative data via online polls. For in-person data collection, we work with focus group facilities and recruitment firms to assist us in all market sizes.
Online Bulletin Board Focus Groups (BBFGs) can be especially effective in communicating with geographically dispersed participants who are comfortable using the Internet. In-depth interviewing, especially with high-level executives, is another area of our expertise. We know how to recruit and interview CEOs, CFOs, CMOs and other hard to get participants like physicians or high net-worth individuals. No matter the method, we develop a thoughtful moderator’s guide that creatively addresses your research objectives. Laddering, projective interviewing, in-group exercises, and homework assignments (including digital still or video images) are just a few tools in our toolbox that can help you solve problems. Process and Outcome Evaluation Click to Learn More
Non-profits and government organizations are increasingly being held to higher standards of accountability. In this era, those who seek to do good deeds must document results to funding sources and other constituents. Whether your needs are to better understand the workings of a program in order to improve it, understand compliance with regulatory issues, or assess program fidelity to intended design, we can assist you.
At Kahle Research Solutions we focus on working collaboratively to help social programs improve operations (Process Evaluation). We have special expertise in understanding youth mentoring and programs that seek to divert children from the juvenile justice system.
If your needs are more focused on understanding outcomes and outputs of a specific intervention, we can help. We have experience with experimental, quasi-experimental and single group designs as well as a wide variety of standard instruments to ensure valid and reliable data collection. Calling us into the design process early is a great way to make sure we can measure intended effects later on.
Strategic Planning Facilitation Click to Learn More
In our modern economy, all organizations need to plan strategically for success. Operating without a strategic plan is like taking a long trip without a map. At Kahle Research Solutions, we have helped many organizations develop meaningful plans through a combination of background research, environmental scans and intensive planning sessions that engage and challenge participants to think deeply and differently about what an organization stands for and where it wants to go.
We take each organization through the process step by step, guiding, facilitating (and prodding when necessary) to help you see the potential ahead. We will teach you the value of a SWOT analysis, the differences between mission, vision and values, and, and we will provide the framework necessary so that you may develop strong actionable goals and objectives for your organization.
While all of our strategic planning engagements are custom designed, we have developed a basic outline of the steps all organizations need to take on the path to successful strategic planning. Surveys: Online, Telephone and Mail Click to Learn More
Easy access to Internet technology has opened up a wide array of tools for organizations to use to gather feedback about their products and services. As a result, nearly anyone can design and field a survey. This, however, does not mean that anyone can be a researcher. At Kahle Research Solutions we have “fixed” and “redesigned” many do-it-yourself surveys for clients who find it is not as easy as it looks to develop high quality evaluation instruments.
Whether the best approach is collecting data via the Internet, by phone, mail, or a combination of the above, we will design the right tool for the job. You can be assured the strengths and weaknesses of the methodology will be spelled out, the execution will be professional, and the analysis will go deep. If you cannot answer the following questions about your recently self-designed survey, you should call us.
- What is the response rate?
- Is the sample representative?
- Do we have enough responses so that I can project the results?
- What other factors beyond sample size may limit the validity and reliability of the results?
