2006 Annual Conference of the Qualitative Research Consultants Association

Based on the official evaluations from the 2006 Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA) Annual Conference, Bob’s workshop “Participants from Hell: Recognizing and Managing Bad Behavior” was the highest scoring among all 27 presentations.  Additionally, the panel discussion on Problem Behavior Across Culture, which Bob organized and moderated, was tied for the second highest in terms of participant satisfaction.

In 2005, Steve August of KDA received similar honors and had this to say about it (Bob’s “Participants from Hell” was second in 2005):

“Last October, KDA was privileged to present “Beyond Bulletin Boards: New Frontiers in Online Qualitative Research” at the Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA) Annual Conference in Beverly Hills, California.

Attendees at the QRCA Annual Conference have earned a reputation as a diverse, independent group of critical thinkers – unafraid to challenge or question a speaker, and extremely honest in their assessment of a given session.

We were extremely pleased this past week, when we received what we believe to be an extremely high honor. “Beyond Bulletin Boards” received the highest overall rating of any session at the 2005 QRCA Annual Conference based on attendee evaluations.

This honor is not formal in any way – we do not receive a plaque or any such thing. However, as speakers, we consider it to be the most meaningful honor possible.”

We couldn’t agree more!
